Every student is different. Some students excel in math or writing, while lagging behind in other areas. Our educational mission at Bolder School is to teach your child in the way he or she needs to learn using a proprietary process we call the Personal Learning Strategy. This strategy uses a specialized learning approach tailored specifically to the needs of each individual child we teach combined with a curriculum level that is appropriate to their needs. State and local standards are met, but at each child’s learning level, not based on a specific grade level or age. These standards are transformed by a team of teachers and with your input to create SMART goals; specific, measurable, attainable, result oriented, and time bound.
Appropriate methodology and curriculum are essential components of our program. Our teachers have been trained and have spent hours researching multiple methodologies for teaching. Therefore, we are able to break the mold by providing something BOLD and new. This diversity in methodology enables us to use multiple approaches to teaching, in place of a single methodology, therefore finding the method that is most appropriate to your child’s needs. We also utilize a wide variety of curriculum with an understanding that some materials are better suited to certain methodologies of teaching. Furthermore, in areas like Science and Social Studies where reading is a key component to understanding, we have a diversity of materials in various reading levels to meet the needs of all students.
